Delete Your Account

Two ways to do this — in the App, or by email below.

Option 1 — In the App (recommended)

  1. Open Finessi.
  2. Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
  3. Enter your password and confirm.

Your account and personal data are deleted immediately on our servers; backups are purged within 35 days.

Option 2 — By email

If you can't access the App (lost device, forgotten password, etc.), email us and we'll delete your account within 30 days. Use the button below — it opens your email app with a pre-filled message.

Send the request from the email address you used to register. If you used Google Sign-In, send it from that Google email. We may ask one verification question to confirm it's you.

What gets deleted

  • Profile (name, email, password hash, birthday, country, language, currency, avatar).
  • Transactions, savings goals, places, custom categories.
  • Game state — XP, level, gold, streak, dragon evolution, quests, achievements.
  • Telemetry and behavioural events tied to your account.
  • Receipt images you uploaded.
  • Push notification token and notification preferences.
  • Active sessions and refresh tokens.

What is not deleted

  • Active subscriptions. Premium subscriptions are billed by Google Play or Apple, not us. Cancel separately:
    • Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Finessi.
    • iOS: App Store → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Finessi.
  • Records we are required to keep by law (e.g., financial / tax records relating to your purchases, retained for the period required by the applicable law).
  • Encrypted backups — purged on their normal rotation cycle within 35 days.

Timeline

  • In-app deletion: immediate.
  • Email request: within 30 days of receipt.
  • Backup purge: within 35 days.

We will email a confirmation when your data has been removed.
