1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Finessi mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Finessi ("we," "our," or "us").

2. Description of Service

Finessi is a gamified personal finance application that allows users to:

  • Track income and expenses through an engaging RPG-style interface
  • Earn experience points (XP), gold, and level up a virtual dragon companion
  • Complete daily and weekly quests for rewards
  • Set and track savings goals with battle-themed progress visualization
  • View analytics and insights about spending habits
  • Scan receipts using AI-powered optical character recognition
  • Interact with an AI personal finance assistant
  • Receive weekly AI-generated expense summaries

3. Account Registration

To use the App, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years of age
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Verify your email address via the one-time password (OTP) system
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at contact@finessi.app.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers or systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's operation
  • Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
  • Create multiple accounts for fraudulent purposes
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the App
  • Misuse the AI assistant or receipt scanner features

5. Virtual Items and Gamification

The App includes virtual items such as XP, gold, levels, dragon evolutions, and quest rewards (collectively, "Virtual Items"). You acknowledge that:

  • Virtual Items have no real-world monetary value
  • Virtual Items cannot be exchanged, traded, or redeemed for real currency
  • We reserve the right to modify, remove, or reset Virtual Items at any time
  • Virtual Items are provided solely for entertainment and motivational purposes

6. Financial Disclaimer

Finessi is not a financial advisor. The App is an expense tracking and budgeting tool designed for personal use. The analytics, insights, and AI-generated summaries provided are for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial advice.

We are not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on information displayed in the App. For professional financial advice, please consult a qualified financial advisor.

7. AI Features

The App includes AI-powered features including receipt scanning, a personal finance assistant, and weekly expense summaries. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies or errors
  • Receipt scanning results should be verified before confirming transactions
  • AI assistant responses are informational, not financial advice
  • Receipt images are processed by third-party AI services (OpenAI) for analysis

8. Intellectual Property

All content in the App — including but not limited to the dragon characters, game assets, UI design, code, text, graphics, logos, and sounds — is the exclusive property of Finessi and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our prior written consent.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain the App's availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time
  • Perform maintenance that may temporarily affect availability
  • Update the App's features, design, or functionality

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Finessi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data or inaccurate transaction records
  • Financial losses resulting from reliance on App data
  • Service interruptions or unavailability
  • Errors in AI-generated content or receipt scanning

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. We may also suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the App will be revoked
  • Your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • All Virtual Items associated with your account will be permanently lost

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
